We managed to obtain funding from different sources to run short-terms projects that we successfully delivered. Our projects have shown to be accessible by the local community and the schools we work with, children and are family gave excellent feedback and are hoping that the project can grow.
We are now trying to raise more substantial funds in order to run those projects on a wider scale and a more permanent basis. This project can then lead on providing support to the parents in the form of ESOL and practical skills training.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people, organisations and funders for their support:
Leon Joseph Haringey Parent Communication and Young People Dept, Sharon Bolton Haringey Children & Young Peoples Services, Downhills Centre, Maria Hadjisoteris Head Teacher Earlham School, The Community Chest Fund, Awards for All, Haringey New Initiative Development Fund, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Tottenham Grammer School Foundation, Haringey Youth Opportunities Fund.
If you would like to support our ongoing projects by making a donation to ACYC, please send us an email or use the link provided. Thank you!
We welcome those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, refugees and asylum seekers, low-income families, unemployment families, single parents, young parents and many more. We also cater to:
- Individuals facing unemployment
- Children and young people
- Voluntary bodies
Some of the beneficiaries may have language barriers, for example English may not be their first language. To ensure that the service reaches all communities, the ESOL courses will be available to bridge the gap.
ACYC is always grateful for the time volunteers have spent listening and encouraging our children and young people. Without this valuable contribution of time, energy and expertise, we would not have been able to achieve so much. Thank you.
